How I got my Ipod
The pressure was on; I was running for a lay up. Then. Oh hello. I was just talking about the time my parents were so proud of me. You haven’t heard the story? Well don’t move and put on your reading glasses on and start reading. I’ll rewind for you. Vvvivveeit. Oh here we are, and play. “Jon wake up,” my mom yelled down the stairs.

Suddenly I woke up remembering that today was my birthday and the basketball tournament was today. I got out of my bed and got dressed fast. My dad and my brother were already in the car. I got in and then my dad revved his engine and then we left. On the way there there was a car crash. I mean I’m not in the car crash, but it just happened in the intersection of Organ.

I knew one of the people in the car crash, and when my dad saw her face he stopped. We asked if there was any thing we could do for her. She said,” yes.” So we said that we could take care of her dog. That was fun because after when was fine. When had to give her dog back, but we just didn’t get one dog two dogs.

Anyway we had to hurry back to the house and go to the basketball tournament. Ok we got the dog fed and were are ready for the tournament. When we got there we were just in time. We had to wait two minutes. Finally we could start the basketball tournament.

My brothers got to be the first person from are street to play in the tournament because he’s older. He mostly shot three pointers. His final score was fourteen points. Then it was my turn. I got up and when he said go I shot. I made it. Then I tried a lay up and I made it. I shot a three pointer and I made it. I shot again I missed. It had like four seconds left. The pressure was on; I was running for a lay up. I shot and it … it goes in.

When I was done I had thirty five points. My dad was so proud of me. I like that day as much as I like it when my mom makes me cherry pie. When I got home the phone rang. I was wondering who that was. My mom and my sister were out shopping for groceries and shoes. My sister loves shoes. She still has her shoes from kindergarten. Anyway I always wanted to go to Australia. Australia has kangaroos. Oh sorry. I’m getting off topic. Where was I? Let’s see. , “Right here.

My dad stepped forward and grabbed the phone. He answered,” Hello.” The person on the other line said, “Hello, I’m the person that was running the tournament and I’m proud to say that your son Jonathan won third place in the tournament. Please come and pick up your prize.” When we got there they gave me 20 dollars and my third place trophy.

After that my dad got me a milkshake, and with the twenty dollars. With the money that I was saving and the twenty dollars I bought an Ipod. That day changed my life because now I can’t stop playing basketball. Except when my mom makes my favorite meal ribs! Or when the Steelers play. The Steelers are a pro- football team. Basketball is so fun, you should try it sometime. You’ll like it too. See you next time.
